From ZDNET:

FTFA:
"Launched as an automatic update on February 11, KB5051987 added a few helpful features and resolved a host of bugs, both old and new. Among the glitches resolved were ones that affected digital audio converters, USB audio drivers, USB cameras, and passkeys. The update also patched several security vulnerabilities, including some that were deemed critical."

There are apparently some File Explorer issues as well being introduced with this Windows patch. As a good practice, never let Windows Auto-update. Schedule manual updates a few days after release and read the forums. Fortunately I did not update but wanted to share this for those who may be about to.

Thanks for the heads up! I'm not a PC guy, but am sure others will appreciate your warning. Hopefully not too late...

Yes, hopefully this doesn't hose too many folks. The update claims to fix audio device issues (?) but introduces new file navigation issues. A little like Whack-A-Mole.

Not seeing any issues with 2025-02 update on Win 11 23H2 - KB5051989. Apparently just a 24H2 issue - KB5051987. The 24H2 rollout has been a mess and glad I haven't been in the queue for the update yet. I almost forced the update the other day but decided not to roll the dice.
