Hi Guys not sure what's going on here but seems like i have to put software monitoring on in Logic pro to be able to here the mic i have plugged into the XLR input on the 828es. I used to be able to listen to the direct mic going into a rec armed track in logic from the mixer in D App and then if i wanted some effects to hear on the way in i could just click software monitoring on and turn down the direct mixer signal or blend it with the s monitoring effects. Seems now this is not the case. I have set my main outs to from 1&2 in the app and it plays back instruments and audio without problem but if i try to use the mic without s Monitoring on i hear nothing. If i change the main mix fader in D app to say main i can hear the mic but then if i put software monitoring on i don't hear the fx from logic. This is driving me nuts as it used to work without a problem. i have attached a screenshot of my routing page . Any help much appreciated .

Dang, I set up my routing shortly after the 828ES was released. Always takes some study to get my head around the routing again, and I'm not seeing the answer as yet.

The theory is: everything - live inputs, DAW outputs - passes thru the AVB Mixer to get to Monitor. That's all I've got at the moment.

Did you save an 828ES Preset you can revert to?

Ok I started a fresh using the Audio interface and mixer preset and after a few tweaks all is as it was and all works as I wanted.

Nominal assistance was offered, but I always feel for those having to remember how their AVB Matrix is set up1

Now write that setup into a preset! The hair you save may be your own.
