I think I posted about this a little while back...anyone having long wheel spinning when working on a project since updating to Kontakt 8 player? Still on Kontakt bundle 14.
MBP M1Max 64GB macOS 15.1.1 DP11.33
Everything works fine, just many time it's spins. Usually within the first few minutes of working it spins for like 60 seconds. I'm using DP in Realtime mode.

I'm on Sonoma 14.7.1, but M1Max 64 GB and DP11.33 with Kontakt 8.
Issues related to SBBoD long wheel spinning "within the first few minutes of working" relate in my projects to loading (my current project DP file is around 100 MB with 22 chunks) and having to wait for plugins to pre-render. One of my chunks in this project may have a number of Izotope and Altiverb plugins, and that takes an extra minute or so to pre-render.
Another newfound discovery is that Melodyne ARA dramatically increases file sizes, which, in turn, increases load, save and autosave times. MOTU and Melodyne are both aware of this, and MOTU has passed the problem on to their engineers to consider. The workaround is to run Melodyne non-ARA as a regular plugin, and then play audio into the plugin manually:

Not Kontakt 8 related AFAIK. I'm using Kontakt 8 and Komplete Kontrol in this project, and haven't noticed any problems related to upgrading to them.

This is only with Kontakt? Realtime mode as in? Live Performance mode in the settings?

How I normally do it.
