ReVoice workflow?

Hi everyone,
On the recommendation of a long-time studio producer friend, I finally bought SynchroArts "ReVoice Pro", which has been FANTASTIC from the little test job I tried. The only thing is, I still haven't figured out the simplest workflow to shuttle regions back and forth from the external app. It looks like MOTU is quickly adding ARA support, they haven't gotten to ReVoice yet (I'm thinking 11.4, wince they just added SynchroArts VocAlign). In checking SynchroArts tutorials, they seem to have a different process for every DAW, but DP being as underground as it currently is, they don't have a tutorial.

The best I've done is applied the Link plugin to the track mixer, hit Capture, and manually played back the region in question. After editing in ReVoice, I've dragonDropped the files onto the DP timeline, but aligning them is a trick. Some DAWs offer a "reset position to original timecode", but I can't find a command like this in DP. So I have to select the original clip, create a new take, then paste the new copy to that same timecode. It's not terrible, but it's all a little cumbersome, and would be a pain when doing lots of back-and-forth editing.

Any other ReVoice users here that give me some tips?

I sent them a request for DP reference in their VocAlign instructions. DP was one of, if not the, first supporters of SynchroArts. I sought to remind them of this fact and of the fact DP users are still buying their software.

I've used the latest VocAlign Pro in DP11 latest, but only as a plugin to date.

Nothing for you on ReVoice, I'm sorry!

Hi James

I just tried it and I find that if I simply drop the exported Revoice Pro file into the left side of the Tracks or SE window ... (thus making a new track) rather than dropping into a pre-existing track , it aligns correctly.

If that works at your end you could then just Shift drag the file to the track you want

I hope this is helpful

Best to you and all ..... wishing for a very happy, prosperous and healthy 2025
