New iCloud Terms

If you use iCloud to keep anything synced you might have noticed that there are new terms and conditions you have to agree with to keep using it. If you haven’t done the latest OS updates on all your devices, you may get a message saying you can’t do it when you try to.

According to the OSXDaily article you can’t agree to the new terms until you do the updates.
This might be fine for those who only use Apple apps, but for many here, this is a non starter, possibly forcing an update to the OS prior to the availability of updated apps VI and plugins that will work properly. Apparently, Apple has also posted a support article explaining their incompetence. It might occur to them to modify the error message to tell you why the operation can’t be completed.

I have a nice little side gig helping Apple get their documentation together—Sequoia is still a mess.. I wish they’d just hire me full time so I could get benefits and stock options.

They couldn’t do a screen share on my new iPad a couple days ago because I couldn’t agree to the screen sharing Ts & Cs, even with their new keyboard and its trackpad. Thank goodness the Decline button worked or I’d be stuck.

My iCloud issue was resolved but everyone was frustrated that no one at Apple could see it. Turns out that I couldn’t share the screen on my old iPad running an older OS either.
