Yeah... saw that last week. Sad news. On the surface seems like they're a victim of what's happening to all the brick and mortar music stores. (Although I found an interesting video on YouTube I'll post below by a guy who worked there and his theory about why it's going down.) I think they may just try to shift to being an online store.

As far as deals go, they are apparently closing stores over a period of three months so the "deals" aren't quite so great just yet,. They have three months to close down the stores so they'll start discounting more near the end of that time period. I went by the store literally 3 minutes from my house and really saw nothing that interested me. Maybe I'll go back and look more closely at microphones, but they tend to have a lot of midrange gear in stock. I thought maybe I'd be interested in studio monitors, but they had a limited selection.

The good stuff will go first and less of a discount and then toward the end it'll be the stuff that nobody really wants. Still it's a shame they're closing down.

I have gotten a few genuine bargains lately on used gear from a couple of Sam Ash stores advertising on Reverb. With stores closing, negotiating down on this merch should be easy.

My last score was on a Zoom Q2n-4k with the $40 aux battery case, a card, aux handle and carry case under $160 shipped—no signs that it had ever actually been used.
