Hello,
Trying to play some MIDI projects from my old tone module days.
When I open an old DP4 file the GUI windows are separated.
Is there a way to have it as one window?

Do you mean a Consolidated Window? DP has a preference to open old projects in a CW. Don't know if Lite does that too. Importing the MIDI into a new project ought to work.

I haven't found a consolidated window solution but I took your advise and
exported the MIDI files. I started with Performer in 1986.
Although I'm using the Lite version I can see a lot has changed since my DP4 days.
These songs haven't seen the light of day in 22 years!
Thank you.

A new PL project opens in a consolidated window and you can pop panels out, same as DP. Not in front of my Mac at the moment but I believe that popping them back in is doable—one of my guys does this accidentally.
I have a few collaborators using Performer Lite. There are many DP features not found in PL and parts of the layout are different in ways that can frustrate an experienced DP user, even if it’s been 20 years. Add to that, the PL manual started as a rewrite of the DP4 manual (yes, really) and parts of it are still wrong. No User Templates (there are workarounds but all are kludges)…
OTOH, Tech Links and phone support are available, same as DP and MOTU offers regular PL Getting Started classes.
You have an upgrade path to DP 11 should PL prove unacceptable but otherwise, if it works, it works.

Thank you for the info. I found it... Under Windows - Pop into/out of; Consolidated Windows.
I really do not want to learn/relearn yet another DAW. I can open these files & export to Logic.
