AVB Switch - There seem to be two models - which is the best/most up-to-date

See the feft and right (ignore the middle) that the socket layout is different. Which is the up-to-date, best one? The one with 6 sockets all together, or the one that's 1-4-1?

Thanks, any info appreciated.

motu.com is showing the AVB Switch as 5-ports

until you click on the link to see that it is now 6 ports.

Since the picture you're showing for 1–4–1 is used, I'll guess that the 6-port version is current.

Back in the day, Ethernet switches used to have an uplink port and a network port which explains the old picture. Nowadays, all ports on switches have full functionality.

Right, thanks.

So I guess, if you're always going to use one for ethernet there's no disadvantage buying the older model. Daft that MOTU's own site still shows both models as if they're the same one. But anyhow - thanks again!
