Okay... posting here so more people see it. I was watching this listing (which is from NI's own official Reverb.com store) that had been $599. Soon as I watched it they sent me an offer for $539. I figured what the heck and counter offered at $450. They let it expire. I wrote to them and an NI rep said "Wait till early next week." Well I checked just now and the S88 Mk2 refurb B-Stock units are now $429 with FREE SHIPPING!! Comes with software (if you need it) and 90-day warranty.

Sorry... that's too good to pass up. I just ordered one and split into four payments with PayPal's "Pay in Four feature." Here's the link. They will probably sell fast:

I didn't really need another keyboard controller, but, it was too hard to resist. Thanks for the heads up, James!

No worries. Mine arrived on Friday last week (while I was out of town). I set it up yesterday. Mine was in very good condition too. Packed really well. I was worried that maybe being a B-stock and refurbished one it might have some blemishes, but it's working great! I love having 88 keys. I'm a guitar player, so I would have preferred more of a synth action, but I'm finding if I used one of the "Soft" velocity settings it works out well for me.

One thing to note: it comes with an external power adapter. USB bus power just isn't enough for this larger unit like it was for my S61 Mk2 (which I need to advertise and sell ASAP).

Oh... it does include software I guess. I haven't gone online at NI to see if I need to register it or anything. I do need to write down the serial number come to think of it and add it to my Excel file of all my gear and serial numbers.

P.S. I'm really amazed they still have some left! I guess if someone wanted to take a chance (and potentially miss out) they could wait another week and see if NI discounts them even more. I like to think though that they're shipping the nicest units first. I know I would if I were them.

That makes sense. Maybe I'll look at getting rid of of some of my other keyboard triggers. I have a little too many.

Same here. I actually still have a 61-key Oberheim Xk that has been with me for decades. I should let it go but there's nostalgia attached to it. Wood end caps... metal housing. Vintage. :)
