Alright, Which should it be, Trackplug or Ren Comp and Ren EQ? I have only a G4 733mhz Mac so it has to be efficient but still sound GREAT! Thanks,

I like the VOX plug that comes with wave musician bundle. It's a transparent compressor that brings up the vocal in the mix. I use it all the time. Another cool plug in bundle is Blue Tubes from Nomad. Out of the 16 or so plugs you get, the 3 band EQ with a compressor on the mid band is killer. You can really clean up an acoustic guitar with that one. I tried recreating the affect with the 3-band compressor that comes with DP 4.52, but it just wasn't happening. Blue Tubes also has a nice stereo enhancer, which spreads out the stereo field. And you get assorted vintage style compressors and EQ's, and a nice tape delay. The vintage compressors exhibit pronounced pumping and breathing, but I guess that's what they're supposed to do.

I love TrackPlug & MasterVerb. The EQ is really nice & the compressor is transparent and clean. Once I got TrackPlug I stopped using everything else (except a little Vintage Warmer when I want some real color).
I recommend the PowerCouple bundle - the MasterVerb that comes with that is so far superior to any of the MOTU 'verbs.
And the biggest plus - the WaveArts stuff is very CPU efficient (I use them on a PowerBook).

Another hit for Trackplug.
The New Trackplug 5 is Awesome.
I barely ever use the Ren EQ. Never really sounded that nice and the gui sucks.
