I scored a short work for a project and burned a CD for my client. On MY Mac, when the disk mounts, it shows a CD title and track name from iTunes by a different artist.
I didn't purchase the song and it is not in my library, but the track in the iTunes Store is the same length (6:02) as my original work. I edited the track in a few programs (Peak, Digital Performer) and even doubled the length, remixed and "bounced" the track with a new name. But my Mac insists this is a different song by a different artist. On my Mini, all seems fine, but I certainly don't want a client to load the disc and see the wrong titles!
I even set all data in Toast and Jam, but the wrong data remains when any of the disks (I burned 5!) are inserted in my Mac.
I'm using the latest version of iTunes and QuickTime Pro and OS 10.4.2.
Any ideas? ANYONE?
TIA!

It must match something on Gracenote or CDDB. You can enter anything you want into those databases. I imagine they will get polluted at some point and these problems will happen more.MIDI Life Crisis wrote:I scored a short work for a project and burned a CD for my client.
