Stop the clips, pops, beeping, whirring and mouse movement sounds coming from your computer by fitting a 'ground loop suppressor' (£8.00 from Maplin/RadioShack) I bought a car audio one made by Shark from Maplin (product code VW43W) and fitted it inbetween the output from my 828mk2 and my mixing desk (to see the product use this link
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?Mod ... 2&doy=18m9 ) It has totally stopped the problem even when the levels are near maximum.

Tristan - I'm having these problems with an 828MII and G5. It's terrible! Where exactly do you insert the loop suppressor? I have 8 channels going to the mixing desk, not just one. So where where would the "in between the output from my 828mk2 and my mixing desk" be in this case?

Download the CHUD development tools from the apple site. Install. There will be a new system preference called "processor" and uncheck "allow nap"

Some DI-Boxes with ground lift functionality and symmetrical cabling will also solve those problems.
