I've had for two years. Track names in the display, the DP overlay identifying all the functions, visual response for actions and the automation just works great.

I can't say that I am happy with the Mackie Universal Control & DP 4.6. I have been having automation problems. Sometimes I move a fader to do a smooth move and DP writes random points of volume automation ahead of the playback wiper that looks like an electrocardiogram. Also sometimes I will be adjusting a fader and not be hearing anything happen. If I stop and play it back it plays what I wrote but not while I am hearing it. This is inconsistent though. I don't like the feel of the faders. I think the older HUI had a much better feel. When hiding tracks in the mixing board in DP they don't hide on the MCU.

kid - try the Mackie update

I had the same problems as above when I first got into my Mackie Control. Then I downloaded the update from Mackie, loaded it up to the Control and Viola! Perfection. I do heavy mixing with multiple pages and groups for orchestral type stuff. After research, I went with this unit and could not be happier. I even looked at the Radikal controller that is no longer in service. Great machine but the fader action is no where near the Mackie. Best part is how it really is a plug and play device. You connect it, DP see's it, and boom, the mix you have - names, groups, everything is laid out on the Mackie ready for hands on control. I love technology when it works for you 8)

cheers

I wish it was that simple for me. I have the latest firmware and it didn't help.
