Jam crossfade issue

Hey Ya'll:

We are trying to crossfade the first and second tracks on our album. We tried to set this up in DP by lining up the two tracks with the overlap that we wanted and then just inserting an edit point, then bouncing the first half as track one and the second half as track two. After this, we lined them up in toast with 0 sec. pause and we kept getting an audible click when track two was initiated. So, we tried putting it in Jam and then with each track BTD on its own and crossfade the two in Jam. We are still getting an audible click when track 2 is initiated even though the fade works perfectly.
Any thoughts?

Thanks!

You might get more help in the post production or general recording areas.

This is what's always worked for me. When a crossfade between two separate songs is needed, I stagger the two songs on two different tracks (as you have done) and overlap them. Then I do a manual cross fade by adjusting the fade in and fade out volumes separately for each track. This prevents DP from creating a separate soundbite for the cross fade. Then I bounce the two tracks into one soundbite. Last, I place the new sound bite on a track and split the soundbite at the necessary point.

I wonder if somehow the cross fade soundbite is not making it to the CD. This should resolve that.

Export the two new sound bites as AIFF and you should be golden.
