Since we’re way off topic I thought I’d say nothing in particular just to get the 300th post. Nice that this topic is more popular than complaints about the demise of DP Control

Re: DP11 is here!
I wish MOTU would make a controller app.
In the meantime, I'm loving V-control pro.
I'm using it for remote control of DP11.
Works great in my studio.

Thanks man, yeah, saw all that. But nothing about shut off alerts, or make alerts silentmonkey man wrote: ↑Sat Aug 21, 2021 3:10 amHey Brother Hipster, toodamnhip wrote: ↑Fri Aug 20, 2021 8:46 pmI’m liking the program thus far, however, it is a very “active“ program, and it seems to act on its own a lot based off o recent apps quit etc.
Some of your concerns can be addressed via the Preferences. Top-right corner, there's a pref symbol. Click it and you'll see a bunch of options:
Checkboxes for:
Auto clean after a memory-hogging app is closed
Show notification of how much memory was freed from a hog
Auto clean when available memory drops below a certain definable threshold
Use Extreme Clean with auto clean feature
Slider for refresh interval
Window for an ignore list for exception from inactive apps list and alerts

Re: DP11 is here!
Might you be able to do that in System Preferences?

Firstly, I answered the bold-type part of the question:
Secondly, if you turn off this auto-cleaning-on-apps-quitting thing I think you won't need to quit the app.toodamnhip wrote: ↑Fri Aug 20, 2021 8:46 pmI’m liking the program thus far, however, it is a very “active“ program, and it seems to act on its own a lot based off o recent apps quit etc. and I also couldn’t figure out where to get it to stop making “chime sounds“. Which is annoying . So I recommend quitting the program after using it so that it isn’t fooling around “under the hood“. If it’s in your sidebar, you can always restart it when you need it.
In this case, just click on the menu bar to open the window and run a clean or deep clean whenever you like, knowing that in a minute or so there'll be a chime.
In any case, you could just leave it running with the default settings and choose:
Sys Prefs / Notifications / Memory Clean 3 (in embedded window on the left) and deselect "Play sound for notifications".
You could also deselect "Show in notification centre".
Either way, problem solved. Cheers brother.
