Can I use a M1 Mac mini with DP10?

I've read that DP isn't up to snuff yet for the M1 Mac mini, but can I install and run DP10 on an M1 and do basic recording and editing with Waves, Izotope and MOTU plug-ins?
Thanks,
Rod

The DP10 and MOTU plugins seem to be working fine on the M1 Mac Mini. I don’t have Waves or Izotope though.

Are you using Rosetta or are you using DP 10 on the M1 mini straight out of the box on Big Sur?

At the moment, out of the box using the internal Mac sound driver. I haven’t been able to get my 896s recognized yet. I’m not using it seriously at the moment, but, in testing, DP and the MOTU plugins seem to be working okay.
I’m still in waiting for the 896 to work in order to get down to working on the Mini.

100% it's running in Rosetta. DP10 is not M1 computable yet. Rosetta performance is pretty good though, a lot of people have been impressed with it. Plus, it might be that we're running in Rosetta for a while after DP goes native even, depending on your plug ins and how much you want to use them. It's unlikely that DP for M1 macs comes out with the ability to run plug ins in Rosetta and native at the same time like Logic does.

I have a ten year old 896 that's firewire only, I need to investigate if there's a way to convert firewire to usb so I can use it in my current rig.

I think you might have to go FW400 to FW800 to Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 3.

I don't want to disagree with Michael, but, OS 11.3.1 and DP 10.13 86175 are working for me without Rosetta on the M1 Mac Mini. The driver I am using is Mac Mini Speakers.
I haven't had time to test too much, but, I randomly selected five MOTU plugins. Also, Voxengo's Span, MeterPlug's Dynameter, Klanghelm's VUMT and MeterPlug's K-Meter are all working.
I have not extensively tested this, but, it is working. There may be things that aren't fully functioning, but, until I get my interface going, I don't really
have much to work on right now.
I haven't tried a whole lot of plugins, but, haven't come up to anything that's telling me that it isn't working yet.

Yeah, that's not possible. DP is not M1 Arm Apple Silicon coded at all yet. So what's happening is it's opening in Rosetta,(or more practically, it's sort of "recompiled" in Rosetta), it's all seamless and not even noticeable because none of the plug ins you're using are M1 compatible either. If you have Fab Filter plug ins that are recently upgraded, you can test this, selecting Get Info for the plug in you can deselect the "Open in Rosetta 2" box, and it will not open in DP after that.
Again, MOTU have to literally recode DP in order for it not to run in Rosetta, but mostly it's just a CPU hit, it's not a big deal, and a year or so from now when everything is running natively you will get a "CPU upgrade".

Primerevolutionary:
How has the stability been? Any more news?

I’ve only been using it to test it. My interface hasn’t caught up to M1 Big Sur yet. I should bite the bullet and hook my Stage-16 up as my interface, but, I’m using that elsewhere and didn’t want to mess with all the cabling. For my tests, I hadn’t run into any problems though. It seems stable so far.
