Audio recording too early

Post by dado »

I don't understand why sometimes DP records my audio too early. This is not some note ( and therefore my mistake ). I have to make a restart and then it works

Audio recording too early

As I understand it, with a recent update of digital performer, it’s always recording even when not in record mode. Is this what’s possibly happening to you? The waveform should not appear on the screen however, until you enter record mode. Possible you have auto punch-in enabled?

It is only MIDI that is always recording.

In DP10.11 and .13 (and possibly in earlier versions as well), if one changes DP's buffer size while a track is record-enabled, timing will be off for subsequent recordings on that track. Disable and re-enable recording to get things back on track.

Normally I use the lower Buffer ( 32 ) for audio recording, but how I told, with a restart of Mac is solved, but anyway very strange....
