Verdict on Catalina

Now we're about to see the next version of OS X, are there any conclusions on Catalina? I'm wondering whether, after 7 updates and a few supplementals, it's generally better than Mojave, and whether it's stable and solid with DP.

Except for that naming issue with DP 10.13, I’ve had no issues with DP over Catalina. I’ve not checked since the latest supplemental update from a couple days ago.
Turns out it only happened on my iMac Pro — my 2012 MBP behaves differently.

Do you think it's better in any way? Does it do anything better? (Aside from having a longer shelf life)

Not that I’ve been able to tell. I like Catalina for a number of reasons but DP performance is no different.
There’s a recent thread where someone was complaining of excessive load time in Catalina. I found only minor differences: 10 seconds slower than Mojave unless able to take advantage of cached RAM, then 5 seconds faster. Not enough to make a difference, IMO.

Yes, I've started DP in Catalina. It seems a bit slower, but not by much. On the new Mac compared to my previous iMac, its so fast it hardly matters.
