Aloha from Honolulu,
Curious if anyone's found a solution to working with EX Drummer 2 (as well as EZ Keys and EZ Bass) with DP10.
As with earlier posts I've found here on MOTUnation, no matter how I try to get the MIDI information from EZD2 to DP10, the MIDI data doesn't populate properly. It's a mess.
By way of contrast, this is a simple, several-second process when working with Logic Pro X. I've never had a misrepresentation of the EZD2 data in LPX.
I'd prefer to be using EZD2 in DP10, but at present I cannot.
At present, it doesn't appear MOTU has a ready answer.
Any thoughts appreciated!
Mahalo,
Cat

You have installed the 64 bit version, yes? The 32 bit version shouldn’t work with DP 10. Lots of posts on their support forum about which version works with which hosts. This is a guess—though I have a license, haven’t used it in years.

EZ Drummer 2 is working here in DP10.
That said, I use it only occasionally as a MIDI module/sound source.
Just tested and I can drag and drop patterns into DP and the patterns play the same as in the host.
Sounds like you might be using more advanced functions.
Lemme know if I can test those.
I might be missing the "EZ" part.

All is well

Aloha Mike & Waterstum,
Mahalo, Mike. Let me double check... I just assumed everything was 64-bit... that may be the issue right there. To assume is to make an ass out of... me...
Waterstrum, thanks. Toontracks indicated not all DAWs import EZD2 data correctly. I'm going to check everything is at 64-bit.
And maybe I need to figure out your "EZ" method... I'll have to look to see if I'm doing something to needlessly complicate matters.
And since I'm making quick backing tracks, nothing serious, I may just keep using Logic Pro X for these. EZD2 and LPX play very well together.
Mahalo to you both!
