I am trying to create a smart folder that shows my recently opened documents. I would like to create my own custom search criteria, but the issues outlined below also occur in Apple's default "Recents" view in the sidebar. Long story short, DP files don't seem to show up. This is a problem I have experienced through numerous iterations of MacOS, and I can't figure it out.
Two problems:
1. All of my DP files have a "--" in the date last opened field, so filtering by date last opened does not work. I could filter by date modified, but that introduces extra results that I don't want to see.
2. If I try to filter by "Kind" is "Document", DP files again do not show up. DP files are not considered "documents" for whatever reason.
This seems to be an issue with Pro Tools files as well. I've gotten around it with some more detailed filtering, but I'm just curious as to why these DAW files don't seem to play nice here. Have others dealt with this?

Re: DP Files and Finder Smart Folders
A lot of stuff is missing from the Recents folder. I wonder if it only shows files touched by an Apple app?
