Using DP 10.11 on my Mac OS 10.13.6, I run into difficulties using the tools within the tool pallette window. Desiring to use the scissor tool I cannot activate it either by clickin on it or tapping C. Any solutions or suggestions would be welcome. Also true for most other tools.

Welcome to the forum.

What are those "difficulties" you speak of when selecting the tool from the palette?

You need to keep letter c pressed. Or double tap it, so it sticks.

If that doesn't work, see if you have a conflicting shortcut (via shift-L). That window is searchable, and it's a DP treasure cave.

Thanks for that!
I always press the key to use the tool intermittently.
Never knew about the double press for switching to the tool.
This will help me every day.

I suspect DP has thousands of other features that have eluded me.
So great to have the insight of all of the folks here.

All hail Motunation! :unicorn: :unicorn:

The problem was solved by quitting DP and then restarting. Why?

Restarting DP (and some times the computer) can solve A LOT of problems. Standard trouble-shooting stuff.

I have no idea why it is like that, though.
