Hey guys, my wife is a singer and she is working in DP10.11 on her MacMini. When she goes to save a certain file she gets "DP has encountered an error. File name is not legal -37 OS error reported by File I/O". She has to do a Save As to save the file . Can anyone explain this to me please, thanks !(happy wife, happy life!)

Its an Italian song. "senza te" May 28/20 #8 with Steve. A bit long winded I'd say.

-37 error, like all - errors are from the Mac OS.

The project is not on the system drive and DP can no longer find it.

The usual culprit used to be a failing HDD. Nowadays, it normally means that something went to sleep and wasn't awake when DP needed to write to it.

This has worked for others: Reboot. Disconnect and reconnect externals if not appearing on the desktop. Find the Project folder and open Autosaves. Open the last Autosave. It will want to overwrite your project—you can let it or save to a different location. This will restore the project to an earlier state but it's better than losing it completely.
