Yup, Mojave breaks DP8. Hope you did a time machine backup before upgrading. I took the opportunity to upgrade to a larger SSD in my Mac Mini. Time machine got me back in the game.
Mac Mini Quad i7 2.6 Ghz, 16 G RAM, 2 SSD's. Motu 896 HD Hybrid, 8pre, Fastlane USB, Presonus Faderport, vintage guitars!

Yeah i upgraded. Woo Hoo!

A current project started under DP8 keeps crashing, others are fine. Any thoughts?

I'll bet a half cup of coffee it's a plug-in problem. Launch DP holding down the Option key. That will invoke the Plug-In Manager. Choose the "Safe" plug-in set. These are just the stock DP plug-ins. Does the file open now? If yes, the problem is a third party plug-in (maybe not compatible with new OS). If the file still doesn't open, it's something deeper.
