Keyboard to Dp 9 transpose "problem" ?

Hi guys,

I am editing/recording my styles in DP9 but when I do a transpose from Pa4x, DP does not recognise it.
To make it more clear.....

I have a percussion kit that Congas are on C0,D0.E0
I use the transpose from Korg PA4x to bring the sound to the physical keyboard at C3,D3.E3 so I can play it.
When I hit record my DAW does not record the C0,D0.E0 but C3,D3.E3 instead.

I could transpose it AFTER but it is not the best option because if you are loop recording, lets say a drum pattern, you are always listening the wrong samples.....
You have to stop, find where are the right ones transpose them and continue....not the best option ....

thank you!!!

If I understand you correctly, it sounds to me like you need to use DP's Transpose MIDI plugin with DP's MIDI Patch Thru set to on and your KORG set to transmit MIDI only (local off). Manual page 578.

I have tried MIDI plugin (although it does not solve the problem entirely)....I sounds right but it does not print correctly.

Also I hear the note of the key I press (C3) together with the note that the MIDI plugin(C5) is giving me.
Local is off on the keyboard.

Are you sure you have it set to Local Off? Definitely sounds like a parallel MIDI path going on there.

Is the keyboard transmitting on more than one channel perhaps...?

Yes double and triple check.....I do hear and see two notes in the editor.

Definitely sounds like your controller may be transmitting on multiple ports/channels.
Have you tried using MultiRecord in DP and selecting only one channel as input?

Thats what I am doing right now... :D :D

I will come back with an update but I think its not a Dp problem.....something has to be done in the Pa 4x.
