I’m just gonna paste the FB post from Facebook, but other than that I’ll add that I did all original music and all post audio in DP for this project. Enjoy.

“This is becoming an "every 3-year" tradition! Turner Classic Movies is re-airing FRAGMENTS: SURVIVING PIECES OF LOST FILMS on September 9 (Sunday) night at 10:15pm EST / 7:15 PST. Featuring the musical accompaniment of maestro Michael Mortilla and co-hosted by Michael Pogorzelski, Mike Mashon and Heather Linville, this 2011 special features the only-surviving bits of silent films starring Colleen Moore, Baby Peggy, Emil Jannings, Theda Bara, Douglas Fairbanks and a reel from a lost 1922 John Ford film.” ~ Michael Pogozelski at the Academy of Motion Pictures.

Looking forward to this. I remember seeing it before.

Interestingly, Baby Peggy (Diana Serra Cary) is still alive.

She just appeared in LA last weekend. I’ve played for her many times. Very sweet gal.

I enjoyed it very much. What piano or VI did you use?

I’ll have to pull up the files. I really don’t recall. I wasn’t happy with the sound overall. It’s funny how something that sounded fine 7 years ago sounds grating now. Lol.

Well, it's a mystery. As far as I can tell, I did the project on a lowly G5. That was two machines ago and the files indicate it's "Apple Software Synth" which it clearly is not.

It sounds like I may have used my Kurzweil PC2/x which was the best piano sound I had at the time. Today I'd probably use True Keys or my actual Yamaha grand once it's rebuilt. In fact, if past is prelude to the future, last night paid for the rebuild.
