And each thread has a unique link! But only one can link to the MOTU official site (apparently).

Appears to only be for the new devices that can handle it. For example, Track 16 is not among the supported devices.

Yeah, its the AVB Line only.

One can understand the importance of this app when one considers the world of live music. The AVB line provides a full-featured built in mixer that can serve in the place of, say, an X-32. This is a huge market for MOTU.

It is very nice in-studio for monitor mixes, too.

Hopefully, with the expertise developed, an updated DP Control is not far behind

Ah! This makes sense. I saw this but I didn't get it at first. Not sure why I would want to control the mixer in the DA/AD but I guess I see the case if it's used as a live unit or for monitor mixing.

Yes, the monitor mixing flexibility and remote controllability were important considerations for me; a huge upgrade from the pre-AVB MOTU interfaces. Clients love it.

Totally agree,DPControl doesn’t seem to be a priority for MOTU.

In a lot of ways it can replace the control app. You can treat DP like a 'tape machine+' and mix it's outputs in the AVB mixer. Can't do everything, but it can do a lot of it. Hybrid of the two does a lot.

Sure but there are many DP users that don't use these Motu AVB I/Os.
I hope I'm eventually proven wrong but at this point in time DP Control appears to be abandoned software.
There have been numerous threads over several years of frustrated DP users, asking for this app to be updated and fixed w/ no response from Motu.

Agreed, kg. It’s been sumped and that doesn’t bode well for the software side of MOFO. [sic]

As a keyboardist/engineer/producer, I don't know how I would use DP Control... when operating within DP, everything I need is at my fingertips or feet. How do (did) y'all use DP Control? I can certainly see how it would be handy for drummers and others who can't sit or stand near their DAW while recording, but punch in/out isn't hard to set up in DP with the simplest remote device. What am I missing?
