I had lurked around these parts for some time prior to signing up in 2006. I remember learning about partitioning hard drives here, a strategy that was very useful before SSDs took over. I've learned a lot more here since then.

Personally, I generally enjoy your posts TDH. Certainly no worse than MLC!

Love you both. Anybody who cares enough to offer perspective is a friend in my book.

IIRC, didn't a database crash many years ago reset the date? Is the join date accurate?

Yeah, I joined before the crash and when I came back and re-joined I changed my screen name and password, so I KNOW that changed my date. But I don't know if join dates were reset after the crash. I'm sure James knows.

James?

Totally OT, but my mom had a restaurant in the town where Al Pacino got started acting in a small theatre. I think I was 12 or 13. Mom had a contract with the theater and the actors got meal tickets for lunch and dinner. My mother spoke fluent Italian and so does Al. They became friends and he visited her from time to time after he became famous. Oh yeah, and my uncle was Mario Puzo's barber. Kinda cool.

O/T?! The friggin' thread is in the criticism section. You'd think after 14 years one might have figured out the basics of posting and how the forum is organized.

Yeah, but, even the criticism section has topics. I was just trying to be polite. D'accord? 8)
