I would like to repetitively scroll a defined amount in the sequence editor. For example, to scroll to all snare drums hits at "2" and "4". I know I can do this by specifying locations in the counter, such as 1|2|000, 1|4|000, and 2|2|000, but I am hoping that I can advance to each location with one keystoke. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks!

I thought there was a way to do this, but I can't remember. Searching COMMANDS didn't help.

There really should be a "Nudge Counter Forward" and "Nudge Counter Backward" and set the value in some easy way.

Thank you for your reply stubbsonic. I agree there must be a way to advance the counter repetitively by a predefined value. There must be some power users that routinely nudge or replace soundbites who know how to do this.

There are commands for Go To Next/Previous Measure which in mac is Control-Option-. and Control-Option-,

Here's a decent workaround. Create two markers, one on beat 2 and one on beat 4 (to use your example). Then select that measure of that measure of the conductor track that contains those markers. Now copy that to the clipboard. Now select the next measure of the conductor track and choose Edit/Repeat... and type in some number of measures. Now you can use Go to next marker and go to previous marker to move in the fashion you were suggesting.

Unfortunately, this will make using your usual use of markers less tidy. And markers are not part of a Conductor Track's "Take" so you can't use a 2nd take to have two sets of Markers, alas. But it's better than nothing.

Thank you for that. The commands to "Go To Next/Previous Measure" will work for some situations. I could not find commands to "Go To Next/Previous Beat" which would be great. The Marker method you suggest would work too. Thanks.

In CM assign a keyboard button to move the cursor over beats in the counter, and automatically mouse wheel scroll the desired number of beats.

I imagine Keyboard Maestro could do the same job.

Thanks reedster. Both of those look VERY interesting and I must check them out. I have never used a helper app with DP.
