1) Does anyone know if I can plug the analog RCA outputs of my cassette deck straight into the line ins of an 828mk3?

I guess I can only adjust levels in CueMix?

(I remember the old 2408mk2 had jumpers inside that you could flick to change input sensitivity.)

2) Can I use both the optical inputs simultaneously to record 2 stereo signals from a device with optical outs?

1) Yes with the right cable or adapter. The inputs are switchable globally between +4 and -10 (I don’t recall how — check the manual).

It depends what you are doing with the signal but you can adjust levels in your app, too.

2) Yes. The mk3 has two optical banks with ins/outs. Each optical bank can handle 8 channels of ADAT at 44.1/48kHz or 4 channels at 88.2/96kHz.
