MMC not responding & MIDI CC list needed

I'm trying to use a Line 6 Helix to trigger PLAY and STOP in DP9 (via USB). DP9's MIDI Monitor sees the Helix and incoming MIDI signals. MMC is enabled and set to Helix. I have set up two foot switches in Helix: FS10 STOP, FS11 PLAY. I don't get any transport response from DP9.
Came up with a half-ass temporary workaround: Set DP9's "Wait" to any note or controller. In Helix, set FS11 command from MMC to MIDI CC, MIDI Ch.2, CC number 4, value 127. In DP9, click wait, then play (so it flashes). I press FS11 on Helix, and DP9 starts playing. I've set the CC number for FS10 Stop as 0. I cannot stop playback unless I use the mouse or keyboard on the Mac. I cannot find a MIDI CC list for DP9.
I would prefer to keep this simple by just using MMC, but it just isn't working. I am convinced I have missed something I need to do in DP9, but can't figure it out.
