bringing mixer window to the front

Just upgraded to DP9 from DP8.
I hit 'shift-m' to bring the mixer to front but it appears behind my Waves c4 plugin.
I want it really on top.
What am I missing?
Any help please?

thx, Jim

In DP9 plug windows float by default. Check the plug mini-menu for float options.

Thank you, I found the mini menu on the plug in .
Is that an Atari icon in your pix?

:)

Yep. Hybrid Arts SMPTE track. I still have a MegaST at the "museum" here, and I take it for a spin every couple of years and it still purrs. If anyone wants to see what the Atari MIDI afterlife looks like, check here:

I just updated to DP 10. I'm having this same problem with plugins not moving back when I click on my tracks or mixer windows (or maybe better to say the tracks and mixer windows are not moving to the front). Is there some preference I'm missing? I looked at the "floating" options in the individual plugins' windows but my only options are "Floating" or "Floating by Default"--changes to either don't work.

I cannot seem to see an option for this in the DP preferences either. I tried, "Bring All To Front" in the "Window" menu, but no change.

This is really getting frustrating and this is certainly the first time I've ever encountered this issue with DP. Am I missing something or is this a bug?

Thanks in advance.

I'm also having this issue since updating to DP10... Is there not a default setting to tell plugins/VI's NOT to float (i.e. so that "floating" in plugin mini menu is always deselected)? It's annoying having to uncheck them every time...

Thanks!

Too bad Atari went belly up. They were so far ahead in terms of music production and MIDI. I MEAN, built in MIDI ports on every machine? And Edit/SMPTE Track! Damn! Multiple sequences in a single project back in 1988. How many DAWs do that now? Two? I was beta testing for SMPTETrack in the pre-Compuserve days. Lol. I’m old. Ha ha ha... Come to think of it, I was a moderator in the MIDI/Misic section on CServe. Damn. I REALLY old.

And STAY OFF MY LAWN! Oh wait, I don’t even have a lawn.

I loved the ATARI as well! Back in my early Cubase years :).

Back to reality though... Is there not a default setting to tell plugins/VI's NOT to float (i.e. so that "floating" in plugin mini menu is always deselected)?

Help!...anyone?...

There's a float option in Plug-in Preferences. Have you tried that?

With independent conductor tracks.
