Motu Ultralite Mk2 Firewire > USB?

Hi
Easy one, will the ultralite mk2 work with a firewire to usb converter?
Anyone tried and have any info?
I want to use my motu on a windows laptop (running win 8 currently) which only has usb as apposed to my main Win 7 pc which has a firewire interface
