I bought 2 plugs from these guys that I'm totally in love with. I happened on this by accident and Boz doesn't seem too well known so I'm passing this along. Don't let the weird names dissuade you. I'm not affiliated or anything, just a happy customer.
The first one is a kick drum plug. They do 2 versions- I bought the full one called Sasquatch where you can call up the fundamental by note name e.g. C#1. They also do a cut down one called Little Foot. It kind of starts off with the old trick of gating a sine wave from the kick but goes MUCH further and sounds amazing IMHO. I thought the more full featured one was worth the extra money and you get Little Foot free if you buy Sasquatch.

The other one I bought is called Mongoose. You can set a crossover point and everything below that gets summed to mono. I don't see myself ever NOT having this on the master bus. It totally tightens up the low end and if there are any phase shift issues it will take better ears than mine to tell- it sounds great to me.

You can download demos. Their compressor looks cool but I've way overspent the last month...
