Hi there,

Long shot I know but does anyone have the firmware upgrade to 2.0.1 and the EPROM that goes along with it that they would like to part with? Crazy question I know but what the hell?

Dave

I have an MTP AV with that chip set that I no longer use. PM me if this interests you.

Those were sold out in 2012 and I must have gotten one of the last sets they had.

Hello,
Do you still have the chip set, and what do you need to part with it?

Thanks

What I have is an MTP-AV with the 2.0.1 chip set. The obsolete chips were recycled 6 years ago.

If interested, please send me a message.

Hello, I find this and I'm impressed for the quality of the members and the level of the acknowledge that this blog and his logins shows.
Perhaps somebody may answer a problem I have with the MTP AV (USB) I'm intended to use. My system is "bi-coastal"you can say that because it's Mac and PC association.
So, the PC with Windows 10, doesn't want to see the MIDI timepiece.
A very nice technicien from Motu told me to ask this blog in order to find (Help me, my Lord) the solution.
1) When I turn on the MTP it says 2.0.1. That's meaning that I have the correct Chip for the Main Rom installed?
2) Yet the PC doesn't see the MTP. Perhaps I'll need the chip 1.3.2 for the USB ROM? How could I know?
3) The Motu MIDI Driver I have installed in this Windows machine is the last: 57483.

I would need to discuss this matter to know what possible solution I could have, since the two machines (PC and Mac) have to run together under the configuration I need to use. Thanks in advance for every tip on this direction. All the best.
Alberto.

Open the unit. You’ll see the firmware chip with 2.0.1 on the label. You’ll see another chip — if it’s 1.32, you’ll see that. If not, what does it say?

I’m not at my Mac at the moment but I have a picture saved. If you need, I can post it.

I have 2 MTPAV with firmware 2.01. one has the 1.32 prom and the other is USB also but does not support anything later than windows 95. I need to upgrade it to the 1.32 prom. I have also bought replacement blank proms(cypress CY7C64013-PC) I now need someone to read and copy the 1.32 prom that I have. can anyone suggest someone? I am in the UK

If you're using them on one computer, have you investigated networking the two units together? You'd need to find an old Apple serial cable (for the mini DIN network ports). Networking instructions are somewhere on the MOTU site.

Yes, I have also a parrallel version of the MTP and have it linked to the MTP USB with the 1.32 chip. Works very well. I would like to update the older USB one to work with windows 7 for a little project I am trying. This is to convert LTC to MIDI for a tape sync job I have. I try to keep LTC/MIDI time code and general MIDI running in seperate systems to avoid confliction ussues I have had in the past. Thankyou for you help.
