Automation

Maybe I'm missing something but it seems like the automation sucks with mach five. I guess I'm asking for too much, but I want to be able to move start and end bars of a loop section on a sample while im playing it via my MIDI controller. I need to do this for playing live. And possibily some other parameters. I can do it with the mouse so why not through automation?
