El. Organ presets are in file, but "No Presets"

With the 02-Electronic Keyboards soundbank loaded, I am greeted by "No Presets" when attempting to...uh, select an Electric Organ preset.

The A, B, C, D, Full Rock Organ, and Gospel Organ presets are in the...yes, that's right, the Presets folder within the 02-Electronic Keyboards Soundbank folder within the M5 Sounds folder.

"Rescan M5 Folder" and re-installing the M5 sounds does not change anything.

Has anyone else have this problem.

I vaguely remember fixing this; it's been a while.

I think you have to go into the "Presets" subfolder of your "Mach Five Sounds Folder" and manually append the extension .M5p to these files. If I remember correctly, these files load off the install disk without their proper extensions.

Good luck.

Thanks, chrispick:)
I hadn't even noticed this before!
Tip: if you ever need to do a lot of file renaming, here's a great freeware (donationware?) utility, "R-Name"...

Many thanks!!!
I'll try that solution this evening.

It makes sense that they didn't load correctly because I had an issue with the M5 application install disk. When selecting "Custom Install" it would bring up the 'check-off' boxes with no descriptions. As I only wanted the MAS version, it was guess work which box to select. (I guessed correctly that MAS was the first box. However, UVI-Xtract didn't install so I ended up uninstalling, then doing 'Easy Install').

Small niggles aside, I love this application!!!
Peace

...manually append the extension .M5b to these files.

It worked!!!

When I opened the presets folder in the Electronic Keyboards Soundbank folder, the .M5p omission was staring right at me.

Thanx chrispick!!!

chrispick - thanks for the great tip.
vic_france - the R-Name app worked great.

From a MachFive newbie needing help.
