Hi, I'm using Machfive 1.2 in Protools 6.4 with a DIGI001 on mac osX 10.3.8 with a G4 1,25Ghz & 1,75 Gb ram.
When I try to listen to samples by the importation window, it just doesn't work (it starts to work but freezes until I close the window ...and then plays back the loop 10 sec later and stops) !
I tried with PT 6.7 and a mbox it is the same problem...
It works perfectly with the same configuration under os 9.2.2. and PT 5.2.1. !!!

Can anybody tell me if they have the same problem or no ? Does it works better on a G5 or other sequencers ?

Thank U (sorry for my bad english)

i cant even work out how to use the importation window. so far the only way ive been able to get samples into machfive is by dragging and dropping from my samples folder in another window.

id love to be able to audition my samples while my song is playing back though.

can you give step by step instruction on how to do this and then i can try it out and see if i have the same problem as you (im using Pro Tools also).

thanks

Hi,
I will take a drumkit for example. Program a MIDI goove or import a drum MIDI file in protools.Put it on the MIDI-track which corresponds to machfive. Play the loop.
Now select "apple" on your computer keyboard and double-click at the same time on a note of the keyboard of the machfive interface.
For example "D2" which corresponds to the snaredrum in the GM format. The importation window opens.
Select other snaredrums anywhere on your hard disk they will replace the original one in real time. So it's a lot of time won, you can hear instantly which snare sounds the best in your groove!
...It should work like this...but for me it works only under os9.

I 've had a few bugs today with the drag and drop function too (under osX).
