Hi

Using DP9 to record vocals. After the recording, DP is displaying incorrect notes in the Pitch field. It appears to happen with sustained notes only. Seeing great fluctuations from a fifth below to an octave above the note sung.

Audibly I don't hear any such great fluctuations in pitch and my Auto Tune plugin doesn't show them as well. In fact, according to Auto Tune, it's near perfect pitch.

Any insight on why DP would misread these sustained notes?

Well it's a tenor part in a vocal booth with no reflections due to acoustic padding.

I would think DP algorithms would identify the fundamental.

Maybe if I adjust sensitivity in the pitch parameter, this would help.

This problem prevents me from performing any useful transposition. Frustrating...

Well 8 hours and a six pack later…I think I resolved the problem.

My MOTU 828 Mk3 audio interface needed to be rebooted.

Simple enough I guess…but not obvious at first.
