Issues with 828k3 Hybrid in Yosemite 10.10.5 @ 88.2/96khz

Checking to see if anyone has had issues with 2x sample rates with this setup. A few months back got a new MacBook Pro Retina, 15" 2.5ghz/discrete graphics. I've been erractically using DP on it with my 828mk3 which I've had for a few years and used with an older computer. Everything was fine until I started using it at 96k and continually got overload issues, MAS shutdowns and one or two other errors. Mind you, this happens on a complete empty project just playing back.
At first I had thought it was a MachFive 3 issue it, then DP/828 when I witnessed it in an empty project then Logic X, then even system audio with Spotify etc. I have no issue on my older Macbook which is significantly less powered so it's not a horsepower issue obviously. This was also with a mostly fresh system without much other software. And even just did a complete wipe/install of the OS and DP/828 and issue still persists ... I then installed Windows 10 via Bootcamp last night, installed DP/MachFive/828 ... no issues at all at 96khz even at 128 buffer. I have to think there is a driver bug in 10.10.5 as my other machine is 10.8.2 and 96k works fine on there. Anyone witness anything here? MOTU tech says they've tested and don't see issues.
