Changing/syncing tempo of loops

How can I sync the tempo of a loop in machfive to sync with the tempo in DP4?
I believe you would be better served putting the loop directly in an
audio track in DP , then use either
Set Soundbite to Seq tempo or Set Seq tempo to Soundbite tempo
Pull the loop into a track... Pull down the "AUDIO" menu and choose set soundbite tempo first, then proceed from there.
