Evening All,
Im on my second 16A and they both have done the same...

Im connecting to protools 11.3 and half way through recording the audio just freezes. Needing a reboot the the 16A.
I have soemt a long time with MOTU support and when I got my new unit I thought this was better but over the time it crashes or should I say lock up.

I reboot everything before a recording session and 40 mins through it just goes.
Getting very frustrating now

Any one else having problems with the AVB interfaces over thunderbolt.

I have a 8m and have experienced lock up with the ethernet port on my 2012 Macbook Pro. No issues with Thunderbolt.

The only AVB line crashes I've seen have been at startup. The unit under slave control is usually the problem. I haven't seen what you describe in the year+ I've had them, for whatever it's worth.
