OSX 10.11 Public Beta - DP9 did not launch for me

I've tried it twice now, just to be certain: DP9 will not launch under the current OS X 10.11 Public Beta. It's early days, obviously, and I'm sure this will get fixed long before release.
Heads up on this: Apple has told developers that it will not be necessary to Repair Permissions in 10.11. There is no Repair Permissions option in the 10.11 version of Disk Utility, and the command line has been removed. Apparently, there will be no option for self-repair of disk permissions.
PS: it appears others have it working. So it's just me... The install needs cleaning and I just do t ha e the tools to sweep it up properly.

I hope that means that permissions themselves will no longer be a OS component. They were annoying enough on the old multiuser systems, but a huge PITA on a "personal" computer.

Hmmm... think of those old threads that will be obsolete:
xxx doesn't work in DP or my new install of
DP says license can't be found
You need to Repair Permissions
Oh no, blowhard_always on GearPutz says you never have to repair permissions and he's an x-spurt. What's wrong really?

Let's hope Apple really removed the whole concept and/or fixed it behind the scenes rather than taking it away because it intimidates people (sort of like when Microsoft took away the Start Menu).

The other day, I described something as slow
How slow?
Permissions Repair in OS 10.5 slow.
(Apple engineers are easily amused)

What? They took away the Start menu? Now I can't tease Windows users anymore about going to a menu called "Start" to turn the computer OFF.

No to worry. They brought it back, due to popular demand.

Yes, perfectly. On my studio computer I am still running DP8 on 10.9 as I am in the middle of a film. But I installed DP9 on my macbook when it came out to play around with it. I installed 10.11 beta on it and DP9 is running without a hitch. Really stable.
After I installed 10.11 I did run Mac Keeper to clean up the install, maybe that helped?

Hmmm. You know, I suspected that the problem was some kind of install noise... But Dusk Utility wouldn't clean it up, and the only utility like that I run is Cocktail, which didn't recognize the OS and said so.

But it's still installed, isn't it?

no command line?
No repair permissions?
eeks.. OSX is still unix..and unix has permissions. Permissions of certain files seem to get messed up sometimes. Unless they are going to be repairing it automatically behind the scenes, which would be a good idea. But no command line?

I read that there
will be a command line. If there isn't and the permissions are not either fixed automatically, or removed completely, how we could continue to use OSX?

I have been using terminal today on El Capitan, is that what you mean by command line? Also had a good go with DP9 and it is running great.
Maybe you need to have DP9 installed before upgrading to El Capitan?
