Hello all,
I'd like to share that detailed information about the 2015 edition of the International Film Music Competition is out! (I'm one of the organisers...)
Participants are invited to score the 6‑minute short film THE CONTROL MASTER by Run Wrake. An expert jury comprising internationally renowned composers and filmmakers will choose a shortlist of five compositions, which will be world-premiered in Zurich on 25 September 2015 by a 40-piece live orchestra (big band with strings).
More details, the terms and conditions, and a download link for the short film to be scored are available at http://www.filmmusiccompetition.ch. The submission deadline is 12 June 2015.
Cheers
Pierre

Re: Fourth International Film Music Competition
Just to let people know:
2. Registration
2.1. Eligibility
Composers of any age, nationality and place of residence are eligible to enter, provided that they have no more than three records on http://www.imdb.com (key date: 12 June 2015) as “composer” or “orchestrator” in feature-length films (duration 60 minutes or longer). Winners of the “Best International Film Music” Golden Eye from previous years are excluded from the competition.
It is possible to submit compositions made in a team as long as all the collaborators are eligible to enter.
2.2. Registration fee
The competition entry handling fee is € 75, which has to be paid by 12 June 2015. Participants who register until 22 May 2015 pay a reduced early-bird fee of only € 50.
The competition fee cannot be refunded to participants who fail to submit all the required documents until the deadline of 12 June 2015.

Re: Fourth International Film Music Competition
I got that email last week and forwarded it to the Composition student in the family. I'd like her to fit it into her Masters degree. Told her I'll pay the entrance fee.
I think I am way too busy this year, dang it.

I can't enter as I don't qualify. Not too old now, just too experienced.
