PCI 424, 24io - Suddenly not functional

Greetings all. Could use some advice please...

Yesterday, all was well, short session, powered all down for the night. Today, fired the Win7-64 system back up, and the 24io simply flashes 44.1 I searched about here, saw the post about clock source (switch to something other than normal then switch back), but as soon as I refreshed the Audio Console, the Clock Source and Configure Interface fields went blank.

Powered the 24io down, then back on, it displayed 96, then all the LEDs lit up briefly, then back to the flashing 44, never seen that before.

Powered down the PC, pulled the AC (mains) cable to let the board rest powerless for a few minutes, to reset the card.

Tried reinstalling the driver, re-seating in a different PCI slot, even went back in System restore about a week. Move the audiwire to a different port... Nothing seems to work.

Is something dead in the hardware perhaps? The only other thing I could think of was a Windows update interfered, but rolling back a week should have undone that in theory. :banghead:

Grateful in advance for any advice on offer.

regards

Did you try a voltage reset? Scroll down on this page.

Thanks Mike, I'll give that a try when I'm back in the studio next week. Much appreciated.

Well, I tried the power reset idea, and sadly, the same thing happens, the 24io boots up with all the LEDs lit then settles down to 44k flashing. Not sure where that leaves me.

Thanks, and any other suggestions welcomed.

Do you have a friend who has a Mac Pro you could put the card in? Or put it in another Windows machine and see if it works. Then you would know the card is OK and you could start working on your computer.
