I'm not sure if anybody here can answer this but here goes
I have a friend who pickup one of the U2 ipods they are not pre loaded you have to go to iTMS to down load the U2 songs.
He lives out in the sticks and has no access to a broadband connection and wants me to download them for him.
If I do this and load his ipod can he take it home and load them on to his G5? running a upgrade version of Panther.
My understanding is the new version of iTunes doesn't let you upload from an ipod?
And if this is the case can I just burn them and he can take a disk home and load it into iTunes?
I hate to use his coupon and have the songs stuck on my Mac and not able to get on his.
I don't have an ipod so I'm not sure about any of this stuff.

I'd think that he'd easily be able to either import from the iPod (similar to importing from a CD), or drag the iPod songs from itunes onto his hard drive to copy them. Burning CD's would be a safe bet though. There shouldn't be much to worry about.
