Loading EXS24 instruments into MachFive

Hello there,
I saw in a Groove3 tutorial that in order to load the EXS24 instruments into MachFive the .exs instrument AND the samples need to be in the same folder.
Is there a way to avoid this, some sort of work-around?

Not that I've ever been able to find. I usually save these immediately as MachFive patches, then it's not an issue.

Are there differnt versions of exs files?
When I double click an exs file in the m5 browser nothing happens.
Same with nki ? Is there a special import procedure ?

I just open exs files. Make sure it is in the same folder as the samples. For nki, only some will work and only up to V4 files.

You're welcome, but I was answering AnSolas' question about whether there is a special way to import EXS and NKI files.

Does exs import only works on OS X ?
I have a lot Instruments here which I have sampled with Redmatica Autosampler some years ago. However I can't import any of these created nki or exs under windows.

I don't have any windows based computers running, so I can't say, but I'd expect that would be explicitly mentioned in the manual.

Heureka!
This works for me:
Right click on a Program slot.
Load Program
Select nki
When i select a exs MachFive crash immediately

There is no batch import no ?
Or is there a way to define a search folder for missing files ?
I get each time missing samples when I import nki and eacjh time i need to point manually to a folder :/ I even tried copying all samples to the same folders as the nki files which not work heh.

I haven't come across a means of batch convert or search. I just bring in NKI end EXS24 and .KRZ files at the time I need them, and then save them as MachFive programs for future use.
