waveforms redrawing, permissions thing

Waveforms are redrawing each time I open my project. Running DP on boot drive in Yosemite, project files and folders on external (Drobo5D - I'll call it drive A)
I copied the projects and all associated audio files to a different drive (drive B) - same trouble.
Finder tells me I have read and write permissions to all files and folders on all drives.
Trashed the analysis files and had DP redraw everything - no dice.
Trashed prefs - no dice.
I uninstalled and re-installed DP - no dice.
I even reformatted the Drobo, copied the files back to it - same trouble.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

update: this happens even if 'ignore ownership on this volume' is selected.
And not each and every waveform overview gets redrawn; often when the project is re-opened a few waveforms are fine but the great majority need to be redrawn.
And sometimes once this process is complete, and I'm working on the project for a few minutes, several waveforms will spontaneously get redrawn. It's super annoying.

Some of my DP projects did show this weird behavior.
Not seen for some time now, though.
Not sure if this is anyhow related, but I tend to built any new project from scratch: tracks, aux, inserts...
I only recall a V-rack set in DP clipping window for aux/bus plugins (reverbs, delays), and a few DP track insert presets.
I would be glad to get the final point on this subject, for it may be annoying AND time-consuming.

Thanks Dan. Of course I always build new projects from scratch too.

No answer, although I've seen this before, but it was some older version of DP.
My suggestion is to list your exact specs (like DP and system versions at least) so someone may be able to help you narrow it down.

update: this happens even if 'ignore ownership on this volume' is selected.
You have your files on a remote volume but don't have the required privileges to save all of your changes. Ignoring ownership doesn't allow you to save at some levels. You need to be an owner for that to happen.
Do Get Info on the drive, make sure that all users have read and write privileges and that you are listed as an Admin. Check the box that says "Apply to enclosed items" in the drop-down menu.
There are a number of older threads on this subject.
