Frequent Crashes

I am running DP 8.07 under OS X 10.9.5 on an older iMac 4GB 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. I have a couple of instances of MachFive3 running software instruments. I run okay for half an hour or so, and then I start having crashes where DP shuts down. If I reboot the computer and restart DP I can run for another short while until the next crash. I suspect MachFive as the main problem, but I'm really not certain about that.

I have all other programs including time machine and background processes turned off. I'm thinking I might just need a new machine. The new iMacs with faster processors and more memory look inviting. Would this likely solve my problem? Any issues with DP or MachFive3 running under the newest Apple OS?

Around here, I don't think that machine is THAT old. However, you might be running out of RAM.

How about machfive in standalone? If you disable M5 is DP more reliable?

I have posted before that MachV does not play nice with other virtual instruments. Try working without it or only with it and see if that works.
