OS X Mavericks freeze when I change sampling rate on 828x

Hi,
I just bought the 828x to replace my old 828mk3 Firewire. But, now I experience a troubling issue.
When I change the sampling rate on Motu 828x from 41.1 kHz to 48 kHz using Motu Audio Setup or from Logic Pro X Audio settings, my Mac freezes. I'm using OS X Mavericks and the latest drivers from Motu. It seems like the CoreAudio stack crashes/hangs.
I am connected thru USB 2.0 on an Mac Pro Early 2008.
I never had this problem with my old interface using Firewire.
Any ideas?

See if MOTU has updates--you didn't note what firmware/software you're on.

I'm using the latest firmware v1.0.4 and latest mac drivers from March 2014.

File a TechLink with MOTU support and let us know what happens. If there's an easy fix, other users will want to know and, if a problem, likewise.

Having the same troubles on mine. Only Difference is im on windows. Also having connection troubles, tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them god knows how many times before ableton/cuemix even registers i have it plugged in. Then if (A very big if) it connects i change the sample rate and crashes ableton and i lose connection with the motu again for another 5 hours of repairing the drivers.

Any updates? I am considering getting a 828x, if it doesn't pan out I may go with one of teh new units.
