VEP connection crashing DP on save as?

I'm running into a really strange problem that came up out of nowhere. If I load my VEP template, and then a DP session that uses it, and then do a SAVE AS.... hang... every time. I tried disconnecting the VEP plugin first, and it still does it. The only way I found to make it work is to reboot my computer, and then the first time it works. Every time after that it hangs. I'm on the latest / greatest of both programs. Anyone else experiencing this? Any thoughts on fixing it?
